We believe this is the first BASA team to advance from the State Cup preliminary round. They accomplished this in convincing fashion by outscoring their competition 20-1 in three pool play games.
They opened the tournament with a 6-0 win traveling to their Premier East level opponent Oxford Soccer Club on a scorching hot Sunday evening. The second game started slow against Farmington Soccer Club, but quickly become a 10-0 route. The final game of pool play was a tough fought contest against another Premier East opponent, Nationals Union. Fortunately, BASA was able to use their home field advantage and deep roster to win 4-1.
They are looking forward to playing in the elimination round at the Saginaw Soccer Complex at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5. We invite all BASA families, and supporters to come watch the game and cheer the girls on.
