BASA Refereeing
BASA has several opportunities for individuals interested in working as a referee at our facility. We host soccer games at 3 different competitive levels - Recreational, Select and Premier. The BASA Referee Assignor assigns referees for the Recreational games as well as well as the travel games of the Select level. Premier League games are assigned by a regional assignor. Additionally, the BASA Player Ref Program (Red-Shirt Refs) provides an opportunity for individuals who are considering becoming a certified referee to work games as a referee in out U8 Recreational Division.
REFEREE CERTIFICATION
Anyone aged 13 and older can become a certified referee. Certified Referees will have preference for game assignments and can work games of all ages - depending on their experience. Please click the link below to get started.

If you are a certified referee and would like to register to be assigned to work games at BASA, please contact our Referee Assignor, Jen Parrish.
She will provide you with everything you need to register yourself for refereeing opportunities for BASA Recreational League games and for Select Level Travel games thru the Mid-Michigan Youth Soccer League (MMYSL).
Pay FOr Recreational LEague Games
Pay for rec league refereeing is done thru a third party refereeing platform called insight. Game pay for recreational games is:

Pay for travel league refereeing is handled by the coaches of each team participating in the game, and paid in cash. Game pay for select level travel games is:

BASA PLAYER REF PROGRAM
The BASA Player Ref Program is for individuals 13 years and older who are considering becoming a certified referee or would like to help out BASA as a referee when we do not have enough certified referees available to cover a gameday schedule.
The program is free - and will provide the referee's with a training session, on-field mentoring, a "BASA REFEREE" shirt, whistle. Referees will be paid $15 per game - in cash, following their games.
